Frequently asked questions

Does ARGOS TV include channels or movies?

No. It’s just a player: you need your own M3U list or Xtream Codes account, the one your provider gives you.

Is it free?

Yes, free and ad-free. If you enjoy it, you can buy me a coffee on Ko-fi.

What lists can I add?

M3U or M3U8 lists by link and Xtream Codes accounts (server, username and password). If your list comes with a programme guide (XMLTV), it’s shown too.

Can I have several lists?

Yes. Each list is a profile with its own name and avatar, and each one keeps its own favourites and history.

Where is my data stored?

On your device. There are no accounts, and passwords are stored encrypted in the system’s secure storage. More in the privacy policy.

Android warns me when installing it. Is that normal?

Yes: it happens with any app that doesn’t come from Google Play. Allow Install unknown apps for your browser (or for Downloader on the TV) and open the file again.

Windows says it protected your PC. What do I do?

It shows up for apps that aren’t digitally signed yet. Click More info and then Run anyway.

How does it update?

The app tells you when there’s a new version and updates itself from within, on the TV too.

Is there a version for iPhone or iPad?

Not for now. It is one of the donation goals: once donations reach €300, there will be an iPhone and iPad version.
